Our Program Offering
Center for Solutions is a partial hospital/medically monitored outpatient treatment facility that offers an alternative approach for individuals in need of addiction treatment services. The highly trained clinical staff allows clients to get resolution on issues related to their addiction problem. Center for Solutions utilizes a Solution Focused methodology to treatment versus the traditional 12-Step model. Center for Solutions tailors around the individual needs of the client to develop a personalized program of recovery that works for the client in day-to-day life. Center for Solutions challenges individuals to change their old pattern of things and behaviors. The program focuses on their strengths that have worked, are working, or will work in the future. Center for Solutions offers a complete system of care to help client’s mange their personal and professional problems within the context of their own lives. Our range of services include, but on not limited to Psychosocial Assessments, Residential Adult Treatment, Residential Adolescent Treatment, Low Intensity Outpatient Treatment, Family Services, Aftercare Services, DUI Evaluations, Substance Abuse Assessments, Addiction Consultations, Psychiatric and Psychological Consultation, Community Education Services, Medical Detoxification, and Social Detoxification.
Comprehensive Approach
Center for Solutions program goal is to provide a therapeutic environment where each person will obtain awareness of personal symptoms and consequences of substance use. In order to achieve this goal, Center for Solutions will increase awareness of the addictive process/physiological and psychological aspects of addiction and provide education on symptom reduction and lifestyle changes. We provide skills training on areas that include emotional management, communication skills, coping skills, refusal skills and solution focused principles that support sustained recovery focusing on the positives. Center for Solutions offers an environment for daily practice of recovery skills and assists each person in identifying how areas of their life have been impacted by substance use, followed by a commitment to an alcohol and other drug free lifestyle. We deliver information to family members to learn and participate in the recovery process. Center for Solutions also provides an opportunity for family members to learn and participate in the recovery process. Center for Solutions, with the client, will identify spiritual needs and empower each person to access resources to meet needs for spiritual development and facilitate identification of support groups, recovery resources and alternatives to substance use. We provide support and counseling services that will motivate and encourage recovery and work so each person will become self directed in implementing his or her own recovery plan with information on relapse prevention that targets high risk triggers, behaviors, and thought patterns. Center for Solutions also provides medical care and supervision of medical needs for physical and psychological symptom reduction.
Dual Diagnosis
Many of the clients that receive treatment from Center for Solutions carry a dual diagnosis or have a co-existing diagnosis. A dual diagnosis can range anywhere from a co-existing medical illness, substance use disorder, or psychiatric disorder in addition to the condition first identified or most readily apparent. Co-existing disorders may prolong the course of illness in some cases or may necessitate availability of more intensive or more closely monitored services. The type of services and treatment these clients need is determined through the assessments completed by the Licensed Addiction Counselors, the Medical Director, and through the consults with the Psychologist or consulting psychiatrist. This goes to show the strengths Center for Solutions has working with a multidisplinary team of trained and licensed professionals.
Family Program As part of the Center for Solutions program, family members and / or significant others, friends and employers are encouraged participate in an individualized intervention. Unlike traditional family programs, the Center for Solutions takes the time for each individual family or significant other to begin to work on old reoccurring problems and begin to focus on healthy communication skills to begin working on the recovery process in the privacy of an office. We adhere to the belief that substance abuse/dependence can cause harm to many areas of a person’s life from family, school, work, and physical health, therefore; each of these areas are specifically addressed. Significant issues are addressed with the focus on results in building of self esteem, self awareness and a positive outlook on life and healthy communication skills within the relationship.
Occupational Therapy
Center for Solutions has a high belief in the utilization of Occupational Therapy which uses purposeful activity and meaningful occupation to help people with mental health problems and play a key role in helping people overcome problems and gain confidence in themselves. Social skills’ training is utilized twice weekly to help individuals improve their communication of feelings and needs, as well as the quality of their relationships. The goals for each individual are tailored to fit the priorities and personal preferences of each client. Common goals that people have achieved in Social Skills Training include making friends, starting conversations, asking for help from a professional person, solving family problems, improving a marriage or friendship, coping with criticism and anger and practicing healthy boundaries, assertiveness skills, positive communication and coping skills. Goals for improving personal effectiveness derived from each person’s long term and personalized aspirations for role functioning is achieved. Although each group member is working on their own personal treatment plan, at the same time is benefiting form group interaction, opportunities for observing and learning from others, they are receiving positive and corrective feedback from the group members and the therapist. Craft group is also utilized to share their creative abilities.
School Classes
Because Center for Solutions believes in the ongoing success of each client, ongoing school is necessary for our adolescents. Cando Public School offers daily onsite tutoring for our students engaged in their education. Cando Public School also opens their school for additional services in the area of specific subject tutoring if needed by utilizing the expertise of their professional teachers in order for the student to continue with the best educational needs.
After Care Center for Solutions has an open door policy. Clients do not have to feel they are out in the world alone upon completion of treatment. They are welcome to come back to the Center for Solutions and sit in the group for a “kick start” if they are in need of support. Upon successful completion of treatment, clients will have accomplished all treatment goals and objectives. They will have completed an aftercare plan, continuum of care plan, recovery plan, and referral arrangements are made prior to discharge for follow-up care. As part of the follow up care appropriate support services and referrals will be made with the client before they leave whether it be to a lower level of care, aftercare, medication monitoring services, mental health services, vocational services, individual counseling, family counseling, or any other type of services/treatment the client is in need of. Center for Solutions provides the alumni with ongoing support and weekly meetings. CFS also helps alumni from out of the area find other support structures in their local communities. These support structures help provide continuing resources for maintaining an addiction-free lifestyle.
